Max Pemberton

Max Pemberton, was a clubman, chum, journalist and dandy (Lord Northcliffe admired his 'fancy vests'). He frequented The Savage Club.
Pemberton was the editor of boys' magazine Chums during its heyday. The Iron Pirate was the first, and very popular serial in Chums.
